Personal Information on Contacts Card

Thanks Aaron for this one...

Situation: You want to put personal information on your meCard (your personal information card in Address Book) but you don't want other people to see it if you share your card. I've had my personal email address sneak out of my meCard and into the Internet world and all of a sudden my school emails were flying away to my personal account. Here's how to restrict what information gets out to the masses.
  • Open Address Book
  • Go to Preferences
  • Click on the vCard tab
  • Put a check in the box next to 'Enable private me card'
  • Close Preferences
  • Now when you go to update your vCard it will have little check boxes next to your information where you can enable/disable the info you want to go out
One thing I'd like Apple to add would be the ability to do this on other people's cards so you could have their private phone number on there and when you shared the vCard it wouldn't send that out to everyone.
