Gmail - Multiple Accounts

Update: I did find a great way to use this tip when we were setting up Box accounts for all of my students.  I was able to set them up before I even saw them by using the email address tip below.

Here's a tip Aaron shared with me and I haven't quite figured out how to use it in the classroom but I'm sure there are some ways. If you have a Gmail account you can place '+anythingyouwant' after it. For example, johndoe+dominospizza@gmail.com. Any email that is sent to that address will still go to your base Gmail account, johndoe@gmail.com. So you could give each of your kids an email account that is tied to your Gmail account and you would have control of what comes in and get passed on to them. Since the kids don't (yet) have active Gmail accounts this could be a way to use Gmail in the classroom.

If anyone thinks of some cool ways to use this let me know and I'll post them here.

There are also a few free, temporary email providers if kids don't have an email address that only receive email, like Dispostable or Mail Catch. They could use this to sign up for web sites or services.
