One thing about using the iPad that my kids love to do is search the web from the Search bar. They don't want to waste time waiting for a browser to open before typing in their queries. Now there's (sort of) a way to do that on a Mac called Monocle. What Monocle does is put an icon in your taskbar that allows you to do a quick web search without having to open up a browser. The premise is that you are so incredibly busy that you cannot possibly take the time to open up Chrome or Safari and do a proper search so you have to use Monocle. I used it and it works. Would I use it in the future? Probably not. But it's cool and you might find it useful. Plus, a lot of image searches for "monocle" have pictures of guys with cool mustaches. So, it's got that going for it.
