Share iCloud Calendar Publicly

I like using the Calendar app on my mac because it's simple, easy to use, and it does a great job of sending me reminders for things I need to remember to do. I also like that when I add an event to my Calendar I can set it to post on my Facebook and Twitter accounts, which is very handy, which a Google calendar will not allow me to do. I also like that I can use iCloud so I can access, edit, and share my calendars with anyone that I want to that has an iOS device.

BUT, since I switched over to using the iCloud calendars in Calendar I can no longer share my calendar publicly as a website. After MUCH hunting about I discovered a website that takes your iCloud url, which is usually something like "webcal://..." blah, blah, blah and is not a true website. When someone clicks on that link it will ask them if they want to subscribe to your calendar on iOS. But what if they don't have an iOS device or I want them to be able to view it on a web page? The iCal Calendar Proxy site allows you to take your iCloud calendar's website and paste it into their site, which then converts it into a URL that you can then paste when you add a new Google Calendar. That was a lot but in a nutshell, I can create an event and it will then go to all of the places I need it to go. If you're in the same boat as me then the iCal Calendar Proxy might work for you too.
