Download YouTube Videos

I read about a way to download videos today that's really simple. It's a site called keepvid.com. You can grab them from YouTube, Vimeo, and other sites (see list below), save them to your computer, then have them to use in your classroom without any worries of network speed or capacity. One of the best features of the site is that it gives you a whole bunch of options for file formats, including MP3. For most of our Mac applications the MP4 format will be the best.

They even have a little bookmarklet you can drag from their website into your browser's toolbar. When you find a video you like just click the little link in the toolbar to download that video.

All you do is find a video, grab the URL, head to keepvid.com, paste it in and press Download. It will give the options below for file formats. Neat and slick.
