Soundcloud is a great website and app that allows you to record sounds, like a microphone. Then you can share, send, and store those sounds. I think a great application of this would be as an assessment tool. Do you have a student who has trouble with paper and pencil tests but don't have time to listen to them orally? Have them use Soundcloud and send you their file. You can even download the Soundcloud files using this website, called Soundcloud Download.
